TROY PALMER
writer + creative directorHome_OLD.htmlshapeimage_2_link_0
About me.
Hey. Thanks for stopping by and wanting to know a bit more about me. Let’s see… I started my career as a writer at The Crichton Kim-Kirkland Company (at the time it was new agency started by a couple of former Roche Macaulay employees; you probably know it now as Grip). After being a key part of its growth from five employees to about dozen or so, I moved on to Bensimon Byrne and stayed there for ten years (minus a very short stint at Downtown Partners) becoming an Associate Creative Director along the way.

Between the two agencies, I worked on a number of high-profile and award-winning national and regional campaigns, most notably: Joe Fresh (launching the brand in the Canadian market); Edge 102 / Corus Entertainment; Scotiabank; Ontario Lottery and Gaming; Hyundai; a bunch of beer accounts; the CFL, the Toronto Argos, and The Trillium Gift of Life Network.

The next chapter of my life (both personal and professional) saw me take my talents to the open market. As a freelancer, I’ve enjoyed stints at Taxi and Taxi 2, Edleman, Sid Lee, Giants & Gentlemen, and most recently at Mozilla, working remotely as part of their in-house creative team.

Around this time, I also started an online publishing company called Little Fiction | Big Truths. Since launching in 2011 as a one-person organization with two fiction singles, we are now five-strong and have published over 100 fiction and nonfiction singles, along with three books.

That’s the nutshell.
